It has been a year since the iconic film ‘Black Panther’ released, but needless to say, the fever is still on! We are in love with everything in the film, especially the hair and the outfits. What took us by a storm was Lupita Nyong’os famous Wakanda knots so here is a guide to recreate them!
Step 1
Gently wash your natural afro with a cleansing shampoo and detangle it with a wide toothed comb. Let your hair air-dry before you start creating the look.
Step 2
It’s an interesting take on our beloved bantu knots. The difference with the Wakanda knot is that the knots protrude less from the hair and look more like a textured afro. After applying TCB Naturals Hair Food divide your hair into numerous sections.
Step 3
Once you are done making the sections, Start grabbing strands from each section and make flat knots. You can do so by twisting the strands upon itself. Later start twisting the same strands down to what we call a flatter, cinnamon-roll shape. Repeat the process with every section.
Step 4
Your Wakanda knots are ready to roll! However make sure you use TCB Naturals Hair Pomade to tame the flyaways and define the edges. This easy hairstyle guide will give you a look exactly like Lupita Nyong’o in Black Panther. Wakanda Forever!
