Afro hair: How To Protect Your Leave Out Hair

Leave out can give your afro hair a flat and natural installation. However, keeping it laid, blended and healthy can be difficult. This hairstyling season, ‘leave out’ the stress, damage and breakage with these amazing tips to protect your precious leave out hair.

1. Provide Nourishment Before Styling

We cannot stress enough on this! Before you style your afro, providing nourishment to it is of utmost importance. Apply a generous amount of TCB Naturals Nourishing Hair Food just before wearing a hairstyle. It will protect your leave outs and give a soft and shinier look.

2. Deep Condition

After shampooing your mane, saturate your leave out with a deep conditioning treatment. Leave it in for at least 30 minutes to allow it to completely penetrate in to your hair cuticles. Then, rinse thoroughly.

3. Heat Protectant

If you are planning to use a heat tool on your leave out, apply generous amount of heat protectant before you start styling. Since, the leave out portion of your afro hair is constantly exposed to heat, this step is necessary to protect the health of your leave out.
