This year many women around the globe have accepted their natural mane and have undertaken a transition from relaxed to natural hair. Going natural is a personal choice and we are here to make this journey easier for you. Check out this natural hair guide for some mind-blowing tips. No big chop needed!
1. Do Not Set A Time Limit
Going natural is a time consuming process, do not be impatient, give your tresses some time to adapt to the changes. You don’t have to know when you will rock 100 % natural hair right away! Give yourself about 4 months, by then you will have enough natural hair growth.
2. Detangle When Your Hair Is Wet
Make sure you detangle your hair only when it is wet. Apply a generous amount of TCB Naturals Leave-in Treatment and gently detangle with a wide toothed comb or your fingers. Your hair is changing, thus you must make sure you avoid any practises that causes dryness and hair damage.
3. The Demarcation Line
There comes a point where your natural texture meets your straight/relaxed hair, it is called the line of demarcation. It is THE weakest part of your hair. Take your time when you detangle and style your hair to avoid any breakage.
4. Cut Damaged Ends
Make sure you trim your hair every month. Remember to use hair shears and not regular scissors!
